Elka Watch has collaborated with Ace Jewelers and Heroes Media to design and produce watches in limited editions of 25 pieces. The idea behind collaboration is to fuse the DNA of the two entities, while maintaining the brand's guiding principle, which could be translated into models with minimalist designs that can stand the test of time without ageing, a watch that can be worn today, in 20 years time, as it could have been worn 50 years ago!

"Loch Lat"
A Union of Watchmaking and Spirits: The New Adventure of Elka Watch
The story began in 2021 when the founder of Elka Watch, developed an interest with the world of whisky. 

Guided by an experienced oenologist, he embarked on the creation of a single malt from Neuchâtel, named 'Loch Lat.' Aged for three years in vintage cognac barrels, this whisky, inspired by a local lake, pays tribute to the Saint-Blaise region, particularly honoring a Celtic wheel artifact discovered nearby.

To mark this exciting new chapter, Elka Watch is unveiling a limited edition series of timepieces, each paired with a numbered bottle of Loch Lat. This exclusive collection seamlessly merges the sophistication of Swiss watchmaking with the distinctive character of an artisanal whisky.

ARINIS
Inspired by the rich history of Lake Neuchâtel, the "Arinis" is a stylish diver's watch that adheres to the brand's established design, including its dimensions, chevé-box sapphire crystal, lug shape, and signature side edge. Featuring a ceramic bezel, Super-LumiNova numerals, and 200m water resistance, it is named after "Arinis," the ancient first-millennium name of Saint-Blaise. This name reflects the village's lakeside location and the region's historical significance, from Celtic to Palafitte cultures. The watch's design incorporates elements like the ceramic bezel and overall shape, drawing from the Celtic wheel found in the lake and ceramics from Saint-Blaise. The arrow-shaped minute hand is a direct reference to tools used by the lake's early inhabitants. 

SÉRIE ELKA X
The ELKA X Series is inspired by a flight instrument created by Heuer for the defunct Elka Watch. The watch case is the same as for the ELKA D Series, whose shape is taken from that of a pocket watch. 2 models, but 2 different characters. The Elka X Serie is the sporty version, equipped with cut-edge rough leather straps or Nato straps.  5 dials, a black one with numbers and hands equipped with Superluminova that looks like burnt tritium, another version with a dark blue dial and white Superluminova and a beige version that remains the color of a pocket watch made by the former brand - and 2 other models in khaki green and another in a colour gradient from beige to black.

ELKA D SERIES
La série D est ancrée dans l'histoire de l'horlogerie, à l'époque où les montres de poche étaient courantes. Le boîtier de la montre est le même que celui utilisé pour la série ELKA X, dont la forme est inspirée de celle d'une montre de poche. Le but de ce design est d'avoir en main un objet organique, quelque chose comme un caillou, quelque chose que l'on a envie de toucher, de ressentir.

Elka est une marque qui fait écho à ma vision. ELKA Watch Co. a été lancée en 2022. Comment et pourquoi ? Je rêvais de développer ma propre marque mais je voulais avant tout une marque avec une histoire, une vérité et une crédibilité. J'ai choisi de l'appeler par mon surnom, ELKA. Comme j'adore les années 60, les produits et l'esthétique de cette époque, j'ai décidé d'en faire ma ligne de design pour cette collection et celles à venir. Lorsque j'ai voulu protéger le nom, j'ai réalisé qu'une marque appelée Elka Watch avait déjà existé mais avait disparu dans les années 60 et 70, précisément pendant la période sur laquelle j'ai choisi de baser mes créations. Cette défunte montre Elka portait le nom d'Eduard Louis Kiek d'Amsterdam. J'ai consulté ses archives et je me suis rendu compte que la marque avait des designs forts et avait travaillé en étroite collaboration avec d'autres grands noms de l'industrie horlogère tels que Ulysse Nardin, Heuer, Rolex, Minerva, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns !

Pourquoi Elka

Les montres ELKA s'inspirent de l'époque où un produit était conservé à vie. Vous avez investi dans la durabilité, la qualité et l'unicité. L’état d’esprit est de revenir à cette période des années 1960. À cette esthétique pure et colorée dont nous nous souvenons encore ; retour aux rêves magiques de la course à l'espace, des Beatles, des Rolling Stones et de Woodstock ; un retour aux luttes, aux changements, à l’esprit rebelle qui ont tant marqué cette décennie. Et si nous n’avions jamais vraiment quitté cette décennie ? Et si nous y retournions corps et âme pour redevenir ces gens enthousiastes et révolutionnaires qui ont tant fait bouger la société ? Les mêmes valeurs affichées à l’époque sont toujours fortes aujourd’hui. L'audace et l'élégance sont intemporelles, qu'elles datent des années 1960 ou des années 2020.
